Nowadays, the two building points in DSIC have been successfully finished as follows: undocking of Hull NO.73 VLCC built for COSCO Shipping Group and sea trial of Hull NO.67 VLCC built for Lanqiao Group 10 days prior to the schedule.

The NO.73 VLCC is the ship type with the outstanding features of energy-saving, environment-friendly and sediment prevention, designed specially for COSCO Shipping. The first VLCC of this type has a short construction period in docking and on water, and possesses a good integrity after launching, which makes a good foundation for next works.

The NO.67 VLCC is the third ship built for Lanqiao Group, which has accepted the first two ships from DSIC. The ship has a high efficient construction with floating-out-dock of ship half blocks 14 days before the schedule, 89-day blocks erection in dock and sea trial 10 days before the schedule.
