DSIC Conducts Steel Cutting of 65# 300000DWT VLCC |
 On July 22, DSIC has conducted the steel cutting ceremony of 65# 300000 DWT VLCC constructed for Shandong Landbridge Group in the steel distribution center, where DSIC Party Secretary and standing Deputy Chairman Liu Zheng and Landbridge Group Chairman Ye Cheng have attended such ceremony to inaugurate the steel cutting together.
Shandong Landbridge Group Chairman Ye Cheng and his party have visited the Steel Distribution Center and ship dock production site successively, viewing the hull plating feeding and cutting process and understanding the building period and production progress of under-construction vessels in dock. It is known that, on the 65# 300000 DWT VLCC, the rudder blade is equipped with rudder bulb while energy-efficient cutting guide wheel being installed on the stern tube in front of propeller so as to meet the energy-saving design requirements. Also, the MAN B&W 7G80ME-C9.2 (Part load EGB Tuning, Tier II) main engine is adopted to achieve the good effect of energy saving and emission reduction when slow steaming.
