On December 22, 2016, CSIC’s Department of Technology and Information held the 2016 Special Projects Examination Review Meeting of the National Development and Reform Commission for Offshore Engineering Equipment R&D and Industrialization in Dalian, where the four projects assumed by DSIC have passed acceptance inspection smoothly.
The projects assumed by DSIC are the R&D and Industrialization on Serial Jackup Design and Construction Technology with Proprietary Intellectual Property Right,Jackup Telescopic Cantilever Development, R&D and Industrialization on 3000m Deepwater Drill Ship Design and Construction Technology, and FDPSO R&D and Design respectively. Through more than 3 years’ R&D,DSIC has developed 6 types of 300~550-foot jackups, 6 types of cantilevers for those jackups, 1 type of 3000m deepwater drill ship and 1 type of FDPSO, with an orderbook of 9 jackups in total, amounting to more than 1.8 billion USD.
The successful fulfillment of the projects has comprehensively boosted our independent R&D capability in the field of offshore engineering new-type equipment, furnished technical support for expanding new market of offshore engineering, and possessed contracting capability in the market.
