The No. 1 10000 TEU Container Ship constructed for China Shipping Container Lines (Hongkong) Co., Ltd. is commenced at DSIC Dalian Steel Treatment & Cutting Co., Ltd. (DSIC Steel T&C) on November 16. The Vice General Manager of CSIC Dong Qiang and leaders of DSIC, including Liu Zheng, Zhang Tao, Chen Yongyi participated in the commencement ceremony.

The super-large container ships are demanded largely and continuously within the ships with high technology and high added value in the ship construction market. It is the trend and represent one in the large-size and high-speed container ships. A great number of advance ship construction enterprises are investing in the super-large container ships. Several enterprises of Korea and Japan have already taken large orders for construction of 10000 TEU container ships. DSIC is striving to take orders for construction of the ships since it started to construct container ships. It has made great efforts on technology development and market promotion, and finally DSIC and China Shipping Container Lines (Hongkong) Co., Ltd signed a contract for 4 10000 TEU container ships and 2 option ships in October 2011, which is a milestone of DSIC in entering into the new field of large container ships.
